Produce Flame Trap
Shaped by events and consequences, a world was born—not through volcanic upheaval, clashing of tectonic plates, and downpours of rain—but by words, the clattering of dice, and the sudden surges of inspiration one gets when adrenaline and cortisol clash in a cocktail of neurostimulants. As for campaign, I have a sheet for each named NPC, with backstory, dialogue options, etc that may come up during interaction. Under a separate directory, I keep folders for each campaign with maps, traps/puzzles, events. Whatever helps you stay caught up in the moment is what counts!
A lever is rigged to activate when pulled that releases the spell stored within the trapped object.
Effect: +3 to hit against one target, Casts Produce Flame centered on the trigger with a DC of 10 (if relevant)
Trigger: lever, activates when the wrong lever is pulled.
Campaign Planning is what the PCs will experience in their sessions. For this, don't worry too much about the Worldbuilding aspect. (like D&D 5E's default. D&D is a many-splendored thing. There’s no “right way to run a game” unless it’s something like “make sure everyone has fun.” But there are many different ways to organize your notes for a campaign. Some GMs write out an entire story, others list out potential beats, others still plan encounters. DnD Campaign Planner is an online tool to help manage your table top rpg games. This tool was built to help manage characters, events, locations, etc. That may appear in the average table top game and give the user the ability to link them together.
Countermeasures: A successful DC 15 Intelligence (Investigation) check allows a character to deduce the trap's presence from connections in the lever's mechanism to it. A successful DC 10 Dexterity check using thieves' tools disarms the trap, rendering the lever useless, or connecting it to some other mechanism. Unsuccessfully attempting to pick the lever triggers the trap.
Casting dispel magic (DC 10) on the trap will cancel the stored spell.Poison Needle
This trap is activated when a creature touches its surface, which causes the needle to spring out, delivering a dose of poison.
Effect: Targets any creature that touches it, Placed in lock or opening mechanism, dealing 3 (1d10) poison damage and DC 10 CON save or be poisoned for 1 hour.
Trigger: touch trigger, activates when surface is touched by a creature.
Countermeasures: A spell or other effect that can sense the presence of magic, such as detect magic, reveals an aura of divination magic around the surface. A successful dispel magic (DC 10) cast on the surface destroys the trap.
Destroying the mechanism will prevent the trap from triggering but also render the object unopenable.Destroying Traps
Traps can be damaged and destroyed, sometimes to good or bad effect. Pipes containing fire or poison will rupture and spray over the area, while mechanisms can be rendered inoperable with enough force. Determine the HP and AC of your traps based on the tables below. Sometimes a fragile trap is more dangerous than a resilient one if destroying it will fill the corridor with acid.

Crystal, glass, ice | 13 |
Wood, bone | 15 |
Stone | 17 |
Iron, steel | 19 |
